Hey! My name is Braden.
I am a senior at Adairsville High School and a member of the engineering magnet program. I have taken computer science classes focused on web development and databases as well as engineering classes focused on mechanical engineering.
Outside of school, I love to play tennis and guitar. I’ve been on varsity for tennis since freshman year and have been playing guitar since 2017.
Tennis
During the tennis off-season, I go to clinics at the Rome Tennis Center. I play 1st singles during the season, so I'm always trying to improve, both during the season and off-season.
Magnet
In addition to the computer science and engineering courses, I have also helped with magnet events and fundraisers, such as Magnet Night sophomore year where I flew drones.
Iceland
This summer, I got to study abroad in Iceland. The trip lasted one week and we visited many different places. I got to hike a glacier, visit a black sand beach, and go to many museums and shops.
Engineering
I have taken engineering classes freshman and sophomore year. These classes focused on both the role and job requirements for different engineering disciplines as well as actual field work.
Many of our projects were hands on—surveying land, building bridges, and building trebuchets to name a few. We also learned the basics of CAD softwares such as Fusion360.
Our largest project was Pandemic Desk, a solution to the Covid-19 quarantining problem within schools.
Programming
Over the past four years I have taken six computer science classes, two of which at the college level. In addition to the many projects and algorithms we learned in class, I work on my own personal projects as well.
The project shown to the left is my Cellular Textures generator.
